This week Channel One added this "news" article
to their web site. Stephanie Smith is a Channel One News employee
that has a reputation for mindless drivel. The junk food culture
of Channel One News runs deep.

Notice Ms. Smith’s choice of subjects. "What’s
your snackin’ style?" "What’s you pizza personality?" and
then "Your healthy body guide." That last one allows
Channel One News to say they are doing all the can to make kids
healthier. The truth is Channel One News has shamelessly advertised
the worst junk food and junk soft drinks to middle and high school
students since 1990.

Obligation’s Jim Metrock said, "The people of
Channel One News give every impression of being heartless human
beings. Why did this company continue to advertise M&Ms , Snickers,
Pepsi, and Twinkies to children long after the childhood obesity
crisis was known to everyone? Judy Harris the latest president
of Channel One has given no indication that she will stop the junk
food ads."

In May 2005, three months after Judy Harris was named
CEO, Channel One News resumed a major ad campaign for Doritos.
