As Channel One News becomes more and more irrelevant,
schools find more and more ways to "tune out."

It appears that Channel One Communications Corporation
is incapable of enforcing its own contract with the schools
that still have their TV equipment.

It is very possible, that when Channel One News does shut
down for good, whenever that may be, the final program
may not be seen by very many students. It might be like
a tree falling in a forest with no one around to hear it
fall.
