Will I. Am

December 9, 2007

This rap singer wants kids to buy his new CD. Bus Radio knows how to help.

From Jim Metrock:

While Bus Radio’s president Steve Shulman is signing up schools by promising Bus Radio to be a wholesome alternative to drive-time FM stations, his DJs are going in a different, uglier direction.

Bus Radio DJ Lucia ******* recently interviewed rap singer Will I. Am. This interview alone should cause most school boards to rethink their connection with Bus Radio.

Bus Radio interviews Will I. Am.

This interview is hard to understand but the kids who were FORCED to listen to it probably heard it loud and clear. This singer is a member of the Black Eye Peas and he tells the kids that the group is not breaking up even though he is on Bus Radio to promote his solo CD “Songs About Girls.”

The SOLE purpose of this interview is for Bus Radio to convince young bus riders to go out and buy this rap singer’s new CD. Listen again and here Lucia “I’ll Say Anything If You Pay Me Enough” xxxxxxx tell kids to “make sure you grab it.” She is worse than any drive-time DJ because she has worked her way into the children’s trust and she will endorse whatever Mr. Shulman tells her to endorse. No matter what the content. Kids are the losers here and the rap singer and Bus Radio are the winners.

Did Bus Radio DJ Lucia ******* know that this singer’s CD has an explicit lyrics parental advisory label?

Sure she did. Steve Shulman did too. Bus Radio is playing their familiar game of “Catch Us Doing Something Wrong.” If they are caught, then they can keep the money they made from plugging the sleazy music act and they can claim it was a “mistake.” They can keep doing that for a long, long time.

Here is a sample of this singer’s lyrics from the CD that Bus Radio’s DJ promoted to children. On the first song Will I. Am has Snoop Dogg helping him sing about women’s derrieres.

Definition of “donque” from the Urban Dictionary
“A woman’s fine ass. Pronounced like the word Donkey (ass), but spelled differently to differentiate the negative connotations and ugliness associated with the word donkey.

Damn! Did you see the donque on that woman? Mmm…mmm delicious…

Bus Radio URGED children to buy the CD that contained this song.
“The Donque Song” lyrics

Artist: Will.I.Am

You make this boy go loco
Let me whip out my camera
So I can take your photo
If I could work it out
Then that means I must be the luckiest nigga in the house
‘Cause your donque is steady
Po-po-po-po-poking out
The kind I’m looking after

The big donque – the big booty
All on me, ’cause they all love me

The beat go: boom-boom-boom-boom-boom!

Kinda hard being Snoopy D.O. Double G.
But I somehow; some way

You and me and your friends can
Go out with all that donque give it here
Girl don’t say nothing

Girl you’re looking wonderful and
I’m so lucky to be here
Dancing with the wonderful girl
I’m so lucky to be here
Dancing with you…
Yeah; yeah…

Bus Radio’s Steve Shulman knows his music and probably knows Will I. Am can sing some tender love ballads. Here is one verse from a song on the same CD:

“Heartbreaker” lyrics

if we take it slow
we can make it work
we just cant throw the love down in the dirt
you probly think that im a f**kin’ jerk

Will I. Am’s music videos are even more sleazy than his songs. Bus Radio’s employees know this artist. They hold themselves out as experts on the music scene. They have seen his videos and they knew they were dumping utter garbage on kids on the school bus.

The frame below is from the video for “I Got It From My Mama.” (It’s talking about women’s body parts.) This is one of the songs from the CD “Songs For Girls” mentioned in the Bus Radio promotional interview. You can see the whole video on You Tube – just type in his name or the song’s name.

What part of this singer did Bus Radio think was OK for kids?

One of the offensive parts of this video is a camera trick you see below. That’s the foul-mouthed Will I. Am in the foreground. Throughout the video there are girls in bathing suits in the background. He appears to be touching the girls with his extended finger and they are writhing under his touch. Here he has his finger in the girl’s crouch and she is reacting to him. Other scenes have him poking his finger into the girl’s bottom (“donque” for you Bus Radio fans).

Bus Radio is bringing a new world of sleaze to many young people who might never be exposed to “artists” like Will I. Am.
