Knight Foundation’s Mall Curfew Ad

This PSA was paid for by the Knight Foundation.  Channel One News has been the beneficiary of over $2.25 million from the Foundation over the last four years.

The Knight Foundation seeks to promote journalism.  In Channel One’s case, Knight expects their money to not only buy air time for PSAs like this one, but also news stories to their liking.  Over the past few years Channel One News has produced news and feature stories solely to please the Knight Foundation.  Apparently, if you have enough money, you can buy a news story on Channel One News.  That’s pretty sad.
