High school mocks Channel One News anchor in introduction.

Alverno High's principal Ann Gillick makes fun of Steven Fabian.

From Jim Metrock:

This video says a lot about the frivolous nature of Channel One News.

Alverno High School an all-female Catholic school in California invited Channel One on-air personality Steven Fabian to give the commencement address. He accepted the invitation. He shouldn’t have.

The principal of the school introduces him, but instead of reciting any credentials he might have, Ms. Ann Gillick mocks him – relentlessly. It wasn’t that she was being mean. It’s just that she nails him as nothing more than a pretty-boy-TV-face. Her perception of Channel One News as more style than substance is dead on.

Mr. Fabian sits and takes it during the introduction. The laughter from the student body has to sting. He then gets up and jokes around for an extended period of time before he starts saying something of substance. Thankfully for Mr. Fabian, like Channel One’s audience, this too is a captive audience.
