Arizona schools that still have Channel One.

July 11, 2011

These are just a few of the Arizona public schools that see no problem with having students watch movie commercials while they sit at their desks.

How do we know these schools show the controversial Channel One program? Channel One has asked children to “like” their youth marketing company on Facebook. So far 83,000 have done so. This means a child’s picture and other information about themselves can be seen by anyone on the Internet. Parents and educators would be appalled. Many young people, especially younger middle school students write on Channel One’s FB wall saying they want a “shout out” for their school.  We record the name of the school.  Channel One, for obvious reasons, never voluntarily gives out the names of schools that are under contract to them.
