Is SkoolLive (sic) right for your school?

March 17, 2015

From Jim Metrock:  SkoolLive is yet another attempt by kiddie marketers to bring advertising into public schools.  Today I will begin covering and writing about this company.

I had hoped this company would just fade away, but it hasn’t.  They evidently think they can make money doing this.  They obviously haven’t heard of Channel One, ZapMe!, and BusRadio.

The idea that they are trying to get into the Marietta City School District (GA) made me gag.  That takes a lot of gall. Marietta isn’t a down-on-your-luck community that tends to be the targets of marketers like SkoolLive.  Also Marietta schools helped put the stake through the heart of the infamous BusRadio.

Here is a picture of what SkoolLive wants to put into schools.  A big movie ad.  This company wants school boards to help them help their movie studio advertisers to get more children into movie seats.  This advertising of course takes place during school time, paid for by taxpayers.  Yuk.
