Gulfport High still shows Channel One News. Sorta.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s miserable unit Channel One Network is helpless when schools trash their TV show.

Consider Gulfport High School’s refusal to show Channel One News according to the “contract” they have with the company.

On a regular day the school allows five minutes for school announcements and any remaining time the will show Channel One News.  On a day that the school shows its own news show GTV, they give twenty minutes for it and Channel One.  This results in once again little Channel One actually being seen.

This is typical of most of Channel One’s remaining schools.  Since there is no fear of losing equipment, schools treat Houghton Mifflin’s Channel One as an irrelevant nuisance.

School reporters command attention on GTV. Tired Channel One “reporters” are usually not seen.
