In 2006 it is hard to imagine a school board that would seriously consider signing a contract with Channel One. Let’s hope the school board members will listen to the citizens who value education over marketing.

Channel One faces local residents

NUTLEY, NJ – Channel One is not having smooth sailing concerning its possible debut in Nutley High School classrooms this fall. Speaking at Monday’s Board of Education meeting was Saddle Brook teacher and Hackensack resident Maurie Morris, an educator with 35 years of experience. She explained that her district had enthusiastic support for the in-school television news system when it first premiered eight years ago, but said that support has long since waned.
