Channel One News teases kids with references to Californication and Dexter.

Why would Channel One News talk this way to children?

This is from Channelone.com on January 2, 2012. Channel One's writers offer a two-sentence "tease" to get kids to read the full story. Is Showtime's "Californication" a reference that most middle school and elementary schoolchildren will be familiar with? Why did Channel One's writers write these sentences? What would that show be without sex and drugs? Really, Channel One? These are children reading your words. How are they suppose to react to these idiotic questions? And why should children relate to the gore of a show about a serial killer? This shows the recklessness, insensitivity, and the growing creepiness of Channel One News.
